Karigadubu (Fried Sweet Dumplings)

 It is that time of the year when we make the most sweet items . Shravana Maasa , the first of the four Chaturmasa is considered very auspicious and we perform Pooja to the  Dieties with all our devotion and excitement. Karigadubu means fried kadubu ( sweet dumplings made with Chana dal and Jaggery stuffed in Wheat flour dough and deep fried) . It is a mandatory sweet to make on special occasions like Varamahalakshmi Vratam, Shravan Shukravara Pooja, Shravan Gauri pooja.  Ingredients:  For the stuffing:( Hoorana) Chana Dal 1 cup Toor dal 1/2 cup Jaggery 3/4 -1 cup Cardamom powder  Camphor powder a small pinch For the dough: Wheat flour 1 cup Oil 1 tbsp Sugar 1 tsp Salt a pinch For Sathi : Rice flour 2 tbsp Ghee 1 tbsp For Frying: Oil  INSTRUCTION: 1 Thoroughly wash Chana Dal and Toor dal 3 times and add enough water to that bowl to let the dals soak for 2-3 hours.  Nimona  A no onion no garlic meal for the day...On my plate Chapati and a Rajasthani dish called Nimona. It is made up of peas tomato and potato along with digestive spices which makes it satvik in nature and hence nourishing to the body. .Ingredients : Ghee 1 tbsp +1 tbsp Cumin seeds 1 tsp Bay leaf 2 Cinnamon 1 stick Clove 1 Red Chilli 1  Hing 1/2 tsp Ginger Green Chilli paste 1 tbsp Tomato Purée 1/2 cup Turmeric powder 1 tsp Red Chilli powder 1 tsp Coriander powder 1/2 tsp Peas 1 cup  Potatoes 1 diced Garam masala powder 1 tsp Coriander leaves chopped for garnishing  .   Chocolate Avocado Smoothie!! Made this super yummy guilt free smoothie using Avacados, bananas, cocoa powder, honey, and some milk.Absolutely tastes delicious. Homemade Pav Bhaji Masala

We were craving Pav Bhaji 😋😋but ran out of Pav Bhaji Masala . Then came the idea of preparing it myself at home . Very easy to make with spices you already have at home and in no time🙌🏻 Do try 📌📌 Ingredients: 🌶Coriander seeds 4 tbsp 🌶Cumin seeds 2 tbsp 🌶 Bay leaf 2-3 🌶cloves 6-8 🌶cardamom 2 🌶Cinnamon stick 1” 🌶Fennel seeds 2-3 tsp 🌶 Turmeric 1 tsp 🌶 Amchur powder 1 tbsp 🌶Dried Red Chili’s 8-10 (optional) Instruction: 1. Just dry roast all the dried spices for a minute on low flame , 2. Transfer to a mixer Jar, add turmeric and Aamchur powder & grind into a fine powder. 3. Pomegranate Popsicle -No Refined Sugar / 5 ingredients

 Pomegranate popsicles   Have you tried making these pretty popsicles with Greek yogurt and pomegranates?? Very easy to make super tasty frozen treat that you and yours kids would love to have🙌🏻 A hit in my family😀  It is also kind of healthy as it contains nutritious maple syrup instead of refined sugar . Just 5 ingredients are required and look at that pretty pink colour. All naturally coloured. Always say No to artificial colours👍 Ingredients: Greek yogurt 11/2 cup Pomegranate seeds (fresh/frozen) 1 cup + 1/4 cup Maple syrup 1/4 cup Monk fruit sweetener 1/4 cup vanilla extract 1 tbsp Instruction: 🍭Blend 1 cup pomegranates and strain the juice out of it.  🍭 In a bowl add Greek yogurt, pomegranate juice, maple syrup , monk fruit sweetener, vanilla extract and mix well.  🍭Spoon it in popsicle moulds, along with some pomegranate seeds . 🍭 Freeze for 6 hours /overnight.   POVITICA (Poviteezah) A traditional Croatian sweet pastry made with a yeast raised dough that is rolled or stretched out thinly and then spread with a nut filling. This gorgeous eggless bread bundt was made for my younger one's birthday we had a small picnic party in a nearby park😀 Recipe inspired by @foodlustpeoplelove INGREDIENTS: FOR THE DOUGH - Dry Activated Yeast 1-5 tsp Warm milk 3/4 cup Sugar 1/4 cup Bread flour / APF 2 1/3 cup Melted butter 2tbsp Vanilla essence 1 tsp Flax meal 11/2 tbsp + Water 3 tbsp Salt 1/4 tsp FOR THE FILLING Walnuts 1 cup Coconut sugar 3/4 cup Cinnamon powder 1 tbsp Warm milk 4 tbsp Melted butter 1/4 cup Vanilla essence 1 tsp  FOR BAKING  Honey/ Maple syrup 1-2 tbsp Raisins 8-10 INSTRUCTION  1.For proofing ,  Add  dry activated yeast in warm milk along with sugar.
