Homemade Pav Bhaji Masala

We were craving Pav Bhaji 😋😋but ran out of Pav Bhaji Masala . Then came the idea of preparing it myself at home . Very easy to make with spices you already have at home and in no time🙌🏻 Do try 📌📌 Ingredients: 🌶Coriander seeds 4 tbsp 🌶Cumin seeds 2 tbsp 🌶 Bay leaf 2-3 🌶cloves 6-8 🌶cardamom 2 🌶Cinnamon stick 1” 🌶Fennel seeds 2-3 tsp 🌶 Turmeric 1 tsp 🌶 Amchur powder 1 tbsp 🌶Dried Red Chili’s 8-10 (optional) Instruction: 1. Pomegranate Popsicle -No Refined Sugar / 5 ingredients

 Pomegranate popsicles   Have you tried making these pretty popsicles with Greek yogurt and pomegranates?? Very easy to make super tasty frozen treat that you and yours kids would love to have🙌🏻 A hit in my family😀  It is also kind of healthy as it contains nutritious maple syrup instead of refined sugar . Just 5 ingredients are required and look at that pretty pink colour. All naturally coloured. Always say No to artificial colours👍 Ingredients: Greek yogurt 11/2 cup Pomegranate seeds (fresh/frozen) 1 cup + 1/4 cup Maple syrup 1/4 cup Monk fruit sweetener 1/4 cup vanilla extract 1 tbsp Instruction: 🍭Blend 1 cup pomegranates and strain the juice out of it.  🍭 In a bowl add Greek yogurt, pomegranate juice, maple syrup , monk fruit sweetener, vanilla extract and mix well.  🍭Spoon it in popsicle moulds, along with some pomegranate seeds . 🍭 Freeze for 6 hours /overnight.  Kumbalakai Ghargi / Sweet pumpkin fritters (Jaggery sweetened) Happy Ugadi /New Year to everyone celebrating🙏 Ghargi/Garige, one of the traditional recipes from North Karnataka is absolutely delicious. This is my Mom's recipe which has been passed on to her by my grandmother. INGREDIENTS: Sweet pumpkin grated 21/2 cups Wheat flour 1 cup Ghee 1 tbsp Jaggery powder 11/2 cup Cardamom powder 1 tsp Poppy seeds 1 tbsp Oil for frying INSTRUCTION: 🌾Heat a pan, add ghee & grated sweet pumpkin.Saute on medium flame for 2-3 minutes. 🌾Now add jaggery powder & mix well for 2 minutes. 🌾Now add Wheat flour, cardamom powder and mix well. Off the flame & let it cool down. 🌾Heat oil in a Kadai, take lemon sized balls out of sweet pumpkin mixture & flatten them slightly ,deep fry them on both sides till they turn light brown. 🌾Transfer on to a paper napkin. Sikhedundi (fried sweet laddoo)

One of the authentic oldest sweet recipes almost 200 years ago in Karnataka , Sikhedundi / fried laddoo wherein puran balls are rolled in a urad dal batter and deep fried like wadas.   A recipe worth saving and documenting as we have to take forward the legacy of our elder generations📌📌 Recipe: 👉🏻For Urad dal batter: Urad dal 1 cup Chana dal 2 tsp Rice 1 tsp  👉🏻For Puran / Chana dal jaggery stuffing Chana dal 3/4 cup Water 11/2 cup Jaggery 1/2 cup Cardamom powder 1 tsp Oil for frying 🌺Wash and Soak Urad dal  and Chana dal in sufficient water for 6-8 hours. Grind in a blender jar ti make a thick batter with very less water just like vada batter consistency. Ferment overnight or 6-8 hours.  🌺Wash Chana dal and cook along with water for 4-5 whistles .
