Crispy Wholewheat Chocochip Cutout cookies

Hello Friends,
Chocochip cookies are one of the kid's favourite cookies. Its always a good idea to make cookies at home rather than buying from the store as they are filled with artificial colours, preservatives and unhealthy additives. This recipe also allows you to cut and give them any shape you want which is so much fun.

Best to bake along with kids as they will love mixing the batter and cutting them with cute cookie cutters.I made them with my daughter and we both had a great time together.

You must also know that they are eggless, wholewheat and made with coconut sugar which makes them a healthier alternative to the storebought ones.

This recipe makes around 40 to 50 cookies. As they are always eaten up quickly,I make a lot of them for my family to relish for many days. You can adjust the ingredients ratio according to your needs.

So lets dig in the recipe.

INGREDIENTS:
Wholewheat Flour 3 cups
Melted soft butter 1/3 cup
Coconut sugar/Brown sugar 2 cups
Vanilla extract  2 tsp
Yogurt/vegan egg/ 3/4 cup
Baking Powder 21/2 tsps
Choco chips (as required)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.Preheat Oven to 350 degree Farenhiet.

2.In a big bowl Whisk butter and coconut sugar with hand or use handblender.

3.Then add Vanilla extract and yogurt.Blend untill everything is mixed well.

4.Seive Wholewheat flour and baking powder and mix well.Add chocochips and blend into a dough.

5.Take out portions of dough and roll out the dough between 2 wax papers.

6.I added less chocochips so could easily roll out.You can still manage to roll out with more chocochips in the dough.

7.Cut out the cookies with your favourite shape cookie cutters. We used star, heart  and circle ones.

8.Place the cut cookies on a baking tray or on steel plate with parchment paper.

9.Continue cutting out with the remaining dough portions and place all of them on baking trays.

10.Place the trays in the oven and bake them for 15 to 20  minutes untill they are brown and crispy.

11. Allow all cookies to cool down on a cooling rack and then you can relish them. Store them in an Airtight container.

Please do try this recipe and give me feedback in the comments.Would love to know how did they come out.

Thanks,

Eggless Brazilian Cheese Bread

Pao de Queijo (pronounced as pown -deh- kay-zho) aka Brazilian Cheese Bread is a small baked cheese bun, a popular snack and breakfast food that originated in the state Minas Gerais of Brazil. These are bread/buns usually made with tapioca flour, milk, oil, cheese, salt, and egg/egg substitute. Since I don't use eggs in my baking I have used vinegar instead. These are soft, chewy and so addictive. I love to make healthy bakes from all around the world. Inspired by this YouTube video by Something Dave and I gave it a try as it was an eggless version. These came out so well. These are super simple and easy to make with just five ingredients. A must try because they are gluten-free, contain no yeast, no baking powder, yet so soft and cheesy😋 I had never tried baking with tapioca flour...and found it so interesting to bake with. The dough is too sticky and you will need some extra flour to be dusted to make balls out of it. I have used plant-based pa...

Huli pudi (Sambar Powder) North Karnataka style

Huli Pudi is one of the authentic traditional Sambar powders which has been passed on from generation to generation. This is specially made in North Karnataka. There is a wide variety of sambar powders not only within Karnataka but within South India. Each region has it's own way of adding ingredients and making them. In North Karnataka brahmin families, you can usually see two types of Sambars, firstly 'Saaru ' which can also be called Rasam with Toor dal. The consistency is thin and usually made with Tur dal and tomatoes or Tamarind. The other one is 'Huli' which is thicker in consistency and usually includes some veggies or greens. So here I am sharing the Sambar powder that is used to make a typical Huli. This is so unique and different from South Karnataka Sambar powders. The main difference being the omission of urad dal and Tur dal. This powder is just made with dried spices. This can be made in advance in large quantities/batches and stored in a...
